Personal Alarms - Panic Alarms

The first line of defense in any self defense action plan is to use one of our personal alarms / panic alarms as a signal and diversion. We recommend setting off one of your personal alarms / panic alarms at the first sign that a threat is imminent. You should have at least one of these alarms in your purse or briefcase, as well as a backup in your car console. You may even opt for one of our keychain models.

Our personal alarms / panic alarms are compact and specifically designed to carry in a small space, such as a compartment in a purse. The personal alarms / panic alarms that you see with a pin-pull type activation are ideal as a diversion to not only confuse a perp, but also to signal for help. Simply pull the pin on these types of personal safety alarms and lightly toss to the ground. The perp will have to make a decision about what to do next. Should he go for the alarm or continue the attack? Meanwhile, you're pulling out your pepper spray real quick and can begin applying liberally to his face.

Every self-defense kit should include several personal alarms / panic alarms that can be used in different situations and kept in strategic locations so you can get to them when needed. However, it must be kept in mind that using personal alarms and expecting help to come is generally wishful thinking. They may come, but the primary reason to use the alarm is as a distraction so you can buy more time to get away or use one of your self defense weapons.
