Using the DF6 produces the same real honed edge, with micro-serrations, produced by swiping across a diamond coated sharpening steel. The "diamond fingers'" special curve always make a perfect 30 degree angle with the blade, eliminating the main source of error in knife sharpening - "angle control". One swipe through the "diamond fingers" equals 6 swipes across a regular steel.

How to Use the DF6 Compact Sharpener
1. Place the DF6 on a flat surface and hold down firmly with thumb on guard tab.
2. Take the knife blade and place the heel between the fingers of the DF6.
3. Hold the blade vertical for maximum accuracy (small variation won't affect edge).
4. Pull the knife down and back through the fingers with pressure.
5. Repeat the swiping action 2-3 times, or continue until the edge feels sharp.
