Frequency Detectors

RF detectors or frequency detectors are simply radio frequency receiving devices. They are designed to detect wireless signals that are being transmitted within a certain frequency range.

For example, a wireless hidden camera is designed to transmit video to a video receiver. Some wireless transmitters are designed to transmit as far as 3 miles away while others can only be received one room away. So, the stronger the signal being transmitted the easier it is for frequency detectors to detect it. Some micro spy cams are designed to output a very low signal, making them very hard to detect. You may need to be very close to the camera or bug to detect it. They are designed this way so they are not easily detected. The problem is, if frequency detectors are too sensitive, they give false alarms. If not sensitive enough, they don't detect signals well enough.

The products in this section have some type of display to let you know the frequency that is being detected. All of the bug detectors are technically, frequency detectors, but not all of them have a display so you can know the exact frequency on which a device is operating. This information is useful to some investigators.

The Pro Camera detector doesn't have an LCD display to show you the frequency, but you are able to select the frequency that you are scanning and it will show actual video as it intercepts it on that specific frequency. Since you are selecting the frequency to scan, we have included that device in this category because you will know the frequency you have selected.
