Textured Zytel scales and a dual 420J2 stainless steel InterFrame liner make this one heck of a work knife. Assembled with Zytel back spacers and Torx fasteners, the result is amazingly rigid. Zytel is a fiberglass-filled nylon that offers excellent toughness and resistance to solvents. Teflon bearings at the blade pivot and an adjustable pivot screw allows for perfect blade action. The four blades are AUS high-carbon stainless steel in a bead-blast finish, which gives an ideal combination of toughness and edge-holding ability in a work knife, and also allows for easy field sharpening. The spear-point, slim-profile blade with a Razor-Sharp edge is ideal for fine cutting and carving tasks. The Carson Flipper speeds up the opening of the blade and acts as a blade guard while the blade is open. CRKT AutoLAWKS automatically actuate when the blade is open, making this folder into a virtual fixed blade when locked.
